What’s Your Favorite Sea, Bee, or Beach Related Book this Year?

Our customers are thinkers and readers. We’ve already had a few discussions about books with shoppers, farmers’ market visitors and fellow SBO’s. We love a good book recommendation and enjoy all genres and authors. It doesn’t matter if it’s fiction or non-fiction, if it’s well-written, it’s for us. 

We want to focus on books about the sea, about bees, about the beach, or any story that’s somehow beach or ocean related. 

Here’s our pick and mid-way review for our Summer 2026 read:

The Sirens by Emilia Hart 

Published in 2025 by the author of Weyward

From the back cover: “A breathtaking tale of female resilience and the bonds of sisterhood across time and space, The Sirens captures the power of dreams, and the mystery and magic of the sea."

Though only halfway through, so far this novel is living up to that blurb. It’s immediately engrossing and mysterious. Powerful topics are addressed like being betrayed by a trusted romantic partner, the intricacies of female family bonds and the importance of recognizing our own power and strength and refusing to shrink ourselves for the comfort of others. 

Expect a follow-up review when reading is complete.
